Can I start this off by saying, a baby does a body no good. I ache, from head to toe every single night. It helps me not at all that I have to spend my days on my feet, and yes, I do it all waddling. But with a child comes a need of money and money comes from working, and my work involves walking, carrying, and being friendly. None is always very easy with a kid on board, trust me.
And it's not like I make loads of money, but I'm making what I can. I work all the time now, even taking double shifts, just to make every penny I can. And all of that money is getting put away, or put into baby things. I can't remember the last time I bought anything for myself. It's strange I suppose how much a baby can affect a person, long before they are even here. I mean, the child's not here yet and I like to think I'm a completely different person than I was before I found out I was expecting, unlike someone else I know.
My parents keep insisting I come back to live with them, but really that's the last thing I want to do. It's not that I think it would be too awful but this is my baby and if I moved in with them I would be too tempted I think to let them raise it, and I won't allow that of myself. I'm having this child and thus I am having the responsibility that comes with it. |

Name: Lucy Marie Kachatourian. Birthday: January 23, 1984. Age: Twenty-five. Residence: 12 Pika Avenue, Apartment 6. Occupation: Server at CeCe's Restaurant, working toward Manager position. It's no secret that Edward Kachatourian came from old money. Edward's parents were very strict, no nonsense people and Edward had grown to be the exact opposite of this. Growing up he butted heads constantly with his parents until he was thrown out of the house when he was eighteen. His parents figured he would shape up, as they called it, when he was out on his own. This philosophy in a way held true. He did shape up, but it lead to a real falling out with his parents. He set up his own life and his parents had nothing to do with it any longer. And when he was twenty-two he met Elizabeth Brinks. A year and a half later they were married, and a year after that they were expecting their first child.
On January 23rd, 1984, Lucy Marie Kachatourian entered the world. And from the first day she was alive she was following in her father's foot steps. It was like he was reliving his childhood all over again, only this time he was on the receiving end. From a young age Lucy rebelled. If her parents asked her to do something, chances were she'd do the exact opposite of what was asked of her. It wasn't that she was really a bad child, per say, but she definitely wasn't the image of perfection either. She would do anything to cause a little trouble in her house, or outside if that's where she was. But she never would go to extremes in any regard, she'd do just enough to keep her parents on their toes with her pestering ways.
It wasn't until she was fourteen that she started doing anything that was seriously dangerous. A year before, a new boy had arrived in town by the name of Jimmy Peaks, and she had instantly fallen for him. She was head over heels for the boy before she had even realized she liked him. And lucky for her, the feeling was mutual. Soon they were together constantly and trying to find ways to cause mischief. Within a year, they had taken up smoking pot and from that day on, there was no turning back. It would be easy to say that Jimmy and pot became her life. She stopped trying to find ways to pester her parents, which they greatly appreciated, and instead took to simply toking up whenever she got the chance. She managed to keep her grades averaged at school, being a decent student, and she was always careful to make sure her parents never caught her.
And she was safe for several years, hiding away with Jimmy to light up in secret. She managed to graduate and with so many more hours at home, it was more and more difficult to hide her habit from her parents. Still, they weren't very good at figuring things out and after all, they were just happy that she seemed to have straightened out. She knew to hide away until she was sober and they merely assumed she was spending all her time with and at her boyfriend Jimmys. And part of it was true, she usually was with Jimmy.
It didn't take long for the young couple to realize that neither wanted to live with their parents any longer and they both began to save up money from their jobs. It took some time but they were finally able to move out of their parents' houses and into a little studio apartment together. Here they experienced a freedom they had not before experienced. Lucy no longer had to sneak away and hide her doings from her parents. Living with Jimmy was the perfect situation for her, were the place only a little bigger. With this idea in mind, they had soon saved up more money and upgraded to a small one bedroom apartment. After all, it was all they really needed. They didn't plan to be housing any guests after all.
Things were wonderful for a while there in that little one bedroom apartment until one fateful night when Lucy became pregnant. Three months later she had found out this little fact and of course, informed Jimmy. Lucy knew there was no way that she was giving the child up, but she also knew that there was no way she could raise it in the condition she was in now. She knew she'd have to shape up her life, and of course stop her drinking and smoking for the child’s health. Jimmy knew he wanted to be a part of the child’s life too, but with Lucy shaping up her ways and his lack of, things became strained between the two of them and they eventually broke it off. Lucy stayed in their little apartment and Jimmy moved out. Being seven and a half months pregnant now, they still haven't reconciled but she does keep him informed on all news of the little one growing inside her. |
